Tweet Share Post We looked at QuickBooks 2009 for Mac last week, and also slated to be updated for 2009 is QuickBooks Online.Intuit (s intu) was showing off the latest version at their booth at Macworld Expo running in the Safari web browser (which was not previously possible). In the Safari app on your Mac, check the message that appears when a page fails to open. It may suggest ways to solve the problem or include information you need to solve it. Make sure you’re using the correct address for the webpage. We just rolled out 9 new Mac Minis and all are having this problem, but I don't know if it's the hardware of the OS (10.5.1). Dimming app for mac. All users are complaining about this, though older machines are not exhibiting this problem. When they are working in various programs (but all are PPC binaries), suddenly they can not type in a text field (i.e., in a cell in Excel or in a text or number field in Quickbooks). The solution is to click outside the current field, then click back into the field and they can type again. But it happens enough to be very annoying. I called Apple support and they claim to never have heard of this problem (but then they always say that even when a fix appears on the 'net later that day). I have a similar problem and it is ******* me off. I bought IK multimedia ARC and on my powerbook G4 running 10.5.1 all is fine however, on my macbook pro running same system I can't type the preset name which means I can't use ARC for now. I also noticed a similar problem while using sibelius 5.1 and trying to type in a name for a preset of the playback devices. I can type but only one character every second or so and I must hold on the key for a wile, resulting in multiple characters, then deleting the extras!! Home page, and can get the sites I click on from there, and email, but that's about it. The yahoo links look a bit different (missing things) and won't play video, so it's def not all right. I am typing this on my phone because my iMac can't get on the forum website. This is miserable bc I hate using my phone for stuff like this. I need s large screen and a mouse! I looked up some stuff on my phone and told me to empty my caches (did) and put in new DNS numbers (did) but no help. ![]() Why can I get yahoo stuff and nothing else? What is happening? I'm running macOS 10.13.1 High Sierra. I have a lot of work I need to do! Thanks to Nick and to IWT (again!). After I posted, my wife started having problems on her iPad and then my phone started with the same issues. So though I was able to use the phone to initially post my thread, I was not able to access internet sites soon after, which led me to believe it was a provider issue. I reset my modem/router and now all is good (still don't know why I could get some sites and not others. I was on Yahoo before I had the problems, so maybe I could get their stories and my email because it was already open.) Anyway, all seems to be working now, though I am still a bit confused. But I live most of my life that way anyway. Thanks again for the help and advice.
